Al-Naif was born in 2018 in the outskirts of Aleppo, Syria — a region that has seen years of unrest and hardship. His early childhood was filled with laughter and simple joys, but at the age of five, his life took a sudden and heartbreaking turn. A nearby explosion during a conflict left him severely injured, damaging the nerves in his right leg and arm.

His parents, already struggling to survive amid displacement and poverty, were devastated. “He was such an active and playful boy,” his father remembers. “After the injury, he couldn’t even stand on his own. It broke our hearts to see his energy fade away.”

With limited access to medical care, Al-Naif’s recovery seemed impossible. Months passed, and the stiffness in his limbs worsened. When his family eventually found their way to our physiotherapy and mobility support center, hope was reignited.

Through months of consistent therapy, gentle stretching, and mobility exercises, Al-Naif began to show remarkable progress. “At first, he couldn’t even move his hand properly,” says one of the physiotherapists. “Now, he can hold a ball, take small steps, and even play with other children again.”

Today, Al-Naif continues his therapy sessions with determination and a bright smile. His story is a testament to resilience — a reminder that even in the darkest circumstances, hope and healing can still bloom.
