CRISIS IN GAZA: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Gaza is facing a catastrophic humanitarian emergency: famine was officially confirmed in August 2025, with more than half a million people trapped in famine conditions. Health services are overwhelmed and disease is spreading as water and sanitation systems collapse, while hospitals struggle to treat injuries and malnutrition. Recent assessments show a dramatic rise in child malnutrition – studies estimate that over 50,000 children under five may be acutely malnourished, with tens of thousands facing severe wasting without immediate intervention.
Nearly two million people have been displaced within and beyond Gaza’s borders, living in overcrowded, flood-prone shelters where protection, nutrition, and medical care are critically lacking. Humanitarian access remains constrained by damaged infrastructure, bureaucratic and security obstacles, and intermittent border closures, limiting the flow of food, medicine, fuel and shelter supplies.
Urgent, sustained funding enables life-saving nutrition programmes, emergency medical supplies, water and sanitation repairs, and logistics to reach desperate communities – interventions that can prevent further deaths and stabilise children and families while longer-term relief is scaled up.

WHAT WE ARE DOING
Ummah Care Foundation is proud to stand alongside a powerful network of humanitarian partners, working together to ensure life-saving aid reaches the people who need it most. Through trusted collaborations — including with Al Azhar Charity and the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organisation — we are able to deliver critical medical supplies, food, and emergency support directly into crisis-affected communities.
What we have done so far:
Since 2023, we have sent more than 30 trucks carrying medical equipment, baby food, blankets, tents, clothing, and essential non-perishables.
Thirteen trucks successfully entered Gaza in August 2024, while four more remain on standby in Jordan after multiple unsuccessful clearance attempts. Inside Gaza, our local team distributes every item directly to the hardest-hit communities.
We also run a fully equipped medical facility in Cairo, providing treatment, psychological support, and diagnostics – including MRI, CT, and ultrasound – to injured and undocumented people who have nowhere else to turn.
With your help, we can bring vital support, protection, and hope to Palestinian families facing hardship, both in Gaza and in the communities where they have sought refuge.
