Since our inception, Ummah Care Foundation has been committed to delivering aid where it’s needed most. From war-torn regions to disaster-struck areas, our team has been on the ground responding with compassion, urgency, and purpose. Here’s a look at our journey across the globe:
During the blessed month of Ramadan, we expanded our efforts to provide hot Iftar meals to those most in need. This included displaced families in Gaza, Palestinian refugees in Egypt, Syrian refugees in Şanlıurfa, and impoverished communities across Pakistan. We also used Zakat donations to continue supporting our centre in Türkiye helping with physiotherapy, education, and empowerment workshops for women and children.
In the summer of 2024, we launched a joyful and creative summer school in Amizmiz, Morocco. The programme gave children a safe, fun space to learn, play, and heal, and was warmly embraced by local families.
In the wake of the tragic earthquake in Morocco, our team swiftly arrived on the ground, distributing emergency relief items and offering critical support to impacted communities.
More than a decade of war in Syria left millions of children without education and essential care. After visiting the region and understanding the urgent needs, we launched the UCF Centre in Şanlıurfa in 2022. Initially started as a physiotherapy centre, it now offers a range of services including education, creative workshops, and recreational activities for Syrian refugee children. Our doors remain open to all children, regardless of their background.
While we’ve long been active in Pakistan, the 2022 floods demanded an urgent and extensive response. We launched medical camps in the worst-hit regions, treating over 32,000 patients and distributing 10,000 hot meals. We also worked closely with the Pakistan Army to ensure safe and efficient aid delivery.
The earthquake in Türkiye devastated the same region where our physiotherapy and educational centres are based. Our team was among the first responders, launching a three-phase recovery plan. We reached over 212,000 people through the provision of hot meals, hygiene kits, temporary housing, and home reconstruction efforts.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we supported local communities across the West Midlands. Our volunteers provided meals, essential goods, and emotional support to the elderly, isolated, and NHS staff through contactless delivery services.
In collaboration with the Turkish government, we focused on rebuilding schools destroyed during the Syrian crisis. We’re proud to have reconstructed seven schools in Syria, helping restore education and hope to children affected by war.
To assist Rohingya refugees who fled violence in Myanmar, we raised funds and organized food distribution efforts in refugee camps, bringing comfort and sustenance to displaced families in need.
Following the refugee trail from Calais to Greece, our team delivered aid in multiple European countries. In Lesbos, we provided winter packs, quality clothing, baby food, and set up a Children’s Play Centre and Medical Camps from 2018 to 2020. We also distributed warm meals across Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, and Lebanon.
UCF began its work in Lebanon by funding three orphanages for Syrian refugee children. Over the years, we’ve supported displaced communities through emergency relief during crises, such as the Beirut explosion in 2020. Additional efforts have included holiday celebrations, a winter coat project, and summer schools for refugee children living in camps.
For over eight years, we have delivered both short and long-term relief in Gaza. Our founder and team have visited the region many times, providing vital aid including medication, medical equipment, food, and winter essentials. In response to the 2023 conflict, we redoubled our efforts — sending thousands of warm meals and life-saving supplies through border access wherever possible.
